Description

Class Experience

There is no prior experience for this class. This is an introductory level class that will cover the basic skills and knowledge of social science. The learner should not feel pressured or worried to research this subject or have prior knowledge.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, a Master's in Social Science, and I am in my last two years of my Doctorate in Education. I have taught biology, science, social science, ESL, and sociology.
The Learner will have an independent writing assignment that will take up to at least 2 hours for the duration of the 8 weeks. The amount of time spent depends on the Learner and the amount of effort they choose to put into their project.
The Learner will also need notetaking materials such as pen and paper in the event they wish to make notes.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
The assessment process will consist of pass/fail for the homework grades, class participation, and the final project.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
All materials will be available in my Google Classroom. You will enter the classroom and select your class and you will be able to view/print the materials from there. I will send the class code before the class begins.
