Welcome to Introduction to Probability & Statistics! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ COURSE RATIONALE AND OVERVIEW In this 13-week course, students are introduced to the world of statistics! Statistics are important in everyday life. They help us to make sense of data and interpret information. It equips us with the skills we need to understand the degree of certainty that we can attribute to inferences made and conclusions reached when we interpret and analyse data ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ COURSE OBJECTIVES The course nurtures the ability to employ good analytical practice on data sets. Learning statistics develops logical reasoning, analysis, problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to think in abstract ways. It uses a universal language of numbers and symbols, which allows us to communicate ideas in a concise, unambiguous and rigorous way. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ PREREQUISITES This course is particularly suitable for candidates who have demonstrated a solid foundation in mathematics up to 12th grade and are interested in developing statistical techniques to analyse data.
