Class Experience

In today's society, students must learn how to talk positively and kindly to themselves.

Students must learn their self-worth based on who they are internal, instead of what is on the outside and what society may encourage. In this lesson, we will discuss the importance of positive thinking and how to tell the difference. Students will get the opportunity to self-reflect. This lesson will be able taught through PowerPoint and a teacher-provided worksheet for following along.

Lesson includes:
- What is positive thinking?
-Who is positive thinking for?
-Why is it important?
-What does positive thinking look/sound like?
- Situations explained with positive vs. negative thinking.
-Tips for positive thinking.

I look forward to seeing you in this one-time class!

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have experience working as a group-home youth counselor (ages 12-18) for 4 years, Psychiatric Case Manager for individuals re-entering into the community, and currently working as a Care Coordination family Consultant.I love teaching the importance of growth mindsets, empowerment, and life skills. Working in the social services field has given me the opportunity to work with youth and families from different walks of life. My experiences have ignited my passion for empowering youth and providing them with the skills and tools for continued success. My hope is that this course will plant the seed in every learner to be mindful of their thinking on a daily basis!
