Class Experience

Do you want to know more about the piano? If so, this class will be a great introduction to the instrument and is a great place to start if you are interested in piano or in taking lessons. I have played since I was 7, and want to use my experience to get students hyped to learn about music and about the piano in particular.   In this class we will continue what was taught in part 1.  We will review hand positioning, finger positioning, how to sit at the piano, and the instruments itself.  We...

Students will improve their understanding of the piano and continue learning about notes of the C major scale and differences between high and low notes.

I took 10 years of piano starting when I was 7.
I played piano in jazz band in high school.
I play piano with my church.
I play piano with 2 or 3 different bands in the community.

A Piano is recommended but not required.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
