Class Experience

This Piano Flex Class is a perfect introduction to Piano Lessons for Beginners or a helpful review for learners who have previous experience, but haven't played for a while. Upon completing this class, learners will get a good feel for my teaching style, will be able to decide if they are interested in continuing Piano Lessons and if so, can then enroll in my Weekly Piano Lessons: Ongoing Class! A piano or keyboard is required for this class and a method book which is linked in the Materials...

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Practice makes perfect”! Learners can expect to spend between 60-90 minutes a week on this class between their learning and practice time. Some learners may require a little more practice, as we all have different learning abilities. Learners will upload recordings of themselves playing their assignments and also complete written Theory pages that will help with comprehension of our learning each week.

The book listed below is required for this class and will be an excellent resource beyond this class for students to continue in their learning. If students choose to continue in lesson with me after this class, we will continue in the book.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I will provide written and video feedback to students as they submit their Recordings and Theory Assignments each week. Learners will then be able to correct their work and move forward toward mastery and the next concept.

No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

Learners will record themselves playing their songs on the Piano/Keyboard for this class. They should be seated at a Keyboard or Piano and video should be set up so they can be seen from their head to lower rib cage. Their hands should be clearly visible in these recordings to allow for teacher feedback.
