Do you want to know more about the piano? If so, this class will be a great introduction to the instrument and is a great place to start if you are interested in piano or in taking lessons. I have played since I was 7, and want to use my experience to get students hyped to learn about music and about the piano in particular. Students will learn what a piano is, how it works, how to sit at the piano, hand and finger positioning basics, and differences between high and low notes.
I took 10 years of piano starting when I was 7. I played piano in jazz band in high school. I play piano with my church. I play piano with 2 or 3 different bands in the community.
A piano or keyboard is recommended but not required, as we will just be covering the basics.
