Introduction to Musical Theater
In this one time class, students will receive an introduction to singing, dancing, and acting by jumping right into learning a number from Seussical the Musical. This class is designed for beginners, no experience needed - just enthusiasm!

Beginner Level
In this one time class, students will learn the basics of singing, dancing, and acting. We will learn vocals & choreography to an age-appropriate musical. Students are encouraged to interact according to their comfort level, whether that means performing what they learned for each other, performing later for family, or alone in front of the mirror. :)
Learning Goals
Students will learn vocals and choreography to a section of the song, "Oh The Thinks You Can Think!" from Seussical the Musical, Jr.

Thank you for visiting my profile! I have been involved in the performing arts for over 15 years. I have been an elementary general music teacher in the public school system for almost 8 years, in Virginia & in Illinois. I am also a choir director, choreographer, and teacher for all things musical theater. My degree is in Vocal/General Music Education from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
The benefits music offers children are extensive and significant; I truly believe music and theater has the ability to change lives! My goal is to be a part of the positive process in which students receive the social, cognitive, and emotional benefits of singing & performing and as they begin their lifelong love of music.
I want to help my students find their voice, whatever that might mean for them! I will offer my knowledge and expertise at appropriate times and also keep things lighthearted and fun for young learners.
