Class Experience

In this interactive class, students will learn what mindfulness is and how it can help them every day.
We will begin the course with a short interactive Q and A to get to know one another and to create a comfortable atmosphere.
I will ask some questions to determine the student's current knowledge on the subject and will present some simple mindfulness practice vocabulary which will help the student understand more what being mindful is and how to practice it.

We will discuss the benefits of mindfulness meditation and when to use this technique. We'll also talk about different ways to practice being mindful. During this introductory class we will practice some simple breathing meditations, as well as a simple body scan meditation.

Students will be asked questions and will be encouraged to participate and answer questions if they are comfortable doing so. They will be given some time during class to write in their journal and to share their experience and ask questions after each mindful practice, if they wish.

Learning Goals

Students will learn two simple mindfulness meditation practices that will help them be more mindful, the benefits of these and will know when to use these useful techniques. Specifically, they will learn the mindful breathing practice, the simple body scan practice, as well as journaling and will know the benefits of each.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I'm really looking forward to meeting your child in class.

I enjoy teaching subjects such as wellness, stress management, mindfulness, job interviewing skills, and other soft skills required for the job and many more. I've offered many seminars on these topics to various audiences including high school students.

I hold a B.A is in Psychology and Sociology, a B.Ed and a M.Ed, as well as a M.A in Human Development. I also have a teaching certificate. All this to say that I'm well qualified as a teacher and that doesn't mean I can't have some fun in class. I also have worked with children and teenagers and completely understand the importance of bringing in some humour in the classroom. So it's about making learning fun.

I'm also qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language and love having interesting conversation with my students.

I think learning should be fun, practical and applicable to our day to day life. So in my classes, the students will be practicing and applying what they are learning. In other words, students won't only be learning but they'll be practicing in order to really get it.

On the personal side, I love dancing and singing for fun.
