Students will visit Graphington where they will meet the Countess of Graphington and help her to stop the evil Lord Fuffloydde. Students will stop Lord Fuffloydde by solving a series of logic puzzles. Students will learn to do beginner Sudoku-style puzzles, beginner elimination grid puzzles, and more. All puzzles are created by the Countess special for royal visitors to Graphington. Puzzles of each type will be introduced and solved as a group with contributions from all learners. Students are welcome to dress as royalty for their visit to Graphington. Crowns and tiaras are encouraged! No prior knowledge of logic puzzles is required for this class.

Students should bring paper and crayons, markers, or colored pencils to class.

I am a math education professor, math tutor, math textbook contributing author and editor, former high school math teacher, former makeup artist, and mom of two girls. I am thrilled to be able to share my passions with you!
I love helping students with math! I have over 20 years of experience as a mathematics educator. I stress breaking it down to the basics, learning through exploration and developing connections between topics, as well as finding ways to make math approachable and fun. My math classes encourage creative problem solving and logical thinking.
I also love helping my students gain self-confidence and express themselves artistically through makeup. Makeup is my art and my happy place. Join me to learn the basics of natural, easy makeup to enhance your natural beauty, or for a more advanced class to learn more advanced techniques and challenge yourself artistically.
