In this session, we will focus on learning how to make friends in Mandarin Chinese. Student will be learning Characters of 你 （ni），我（wo），她（ta），他（ta）We will review greetings "hello". Student and teacher will listen the music. Students will practice and understand the movements of saluting ,shaking hands. Activities includes Matching and Guessing as well song learning. Teaching style will be more student centered according to student's level. Individual's needs will be addressed as well....
This class is taught in Mandarin Chinese.
Student gets basic knowledge of how to speak Mandarin when saluting or shaking hands with new friends. Students could recognize the characters such as You, She, He, I in Mandarin. When singing, student could have brief understandings of the meaning.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
YouTube song "My friend" (Zhao Peng You) will be showing in the class for class learning and activity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHnZDAXGOk8 Teacher will share the screen by playing this song for student to listen and learn, student does not need to access to it. The Google Jamboard will be sharing on the screen in the lesson to demonstrate the character writing. Student does not need to access to it.
