Beginner Level
In this class, we will learn the Italian for beginners (Level 2) curriculum through interactive lectures where learners will have the opportunity to participate in class discussions and conversations with a partner/group, all in a relaxed atmosphere. We use presentations with visuals and graphs as well as short videos to introduce the content followed by students centered activities such as role playing and games. Additional individual practice will take place during the week. We will assign a task to be completed for personalized feedback such as cultural videos and audio recordings with questions, oral practice and short projects. Learners will practice reading, speaking and writing. All instructional materials will be available through the Outschool classroom. Because this is a subscription based class and learners can join at any time, they receive exposure to the topics with the opportunity to practice in a communicative format. We use colorful visuals, music, games and context clues to facilitate understanding and keep the goals of every lesson simple enough for learners to be able to memorize new words and phrases every session while using them in simple conversations. Fun and age appropriate topics as well as language immersion suited for beginners will translate into fluency. This class is for learners with one year of Spanish or more. It is considered a beginners- intermediate course.
