In this introductory session, learners are introduced to the nuts and bolts of investing tools like stocks, bonds, and crypto assets. Learners will leave with the confidence in the basic principles for researching investments, evaluating options and building a diversified portfolio. This class will use Nearpod (an award-winning student engagement platform) as the teaching platform, and include practical discussions, activities, games, and educational video clips. Learners will be provided with all the content. No prior knowledge of investing necessary.

Nearpod is somewhat like a slide show that the students can interact with. It has informational slides and slides that the students can interact with. Lessons may include an edpuzzle, kahoot, and youtube videos - Nearpod allows these applications to directly embed within the platform. No student account is required to access the content.
