Welcome to Intro to Interior Decorating! This is a one-time, sixty minute course that will introduce design history, styles, and career paths before heading into a longer, more intensive course. This class will be hosted over Zoom, and students will receive a virtual worksheet previous to the course starting. This course will be offered from 4-5 PM CT on Mondays. Learners will get to ask me questions and start to understand what interior decorating is all about. The activity in the course will help them determine their personal style that will get them in tune with their inner designer. Here is an example of the structure of the class: - Introduction - Quick History of Interior Design - A look into the possible career paths and outcomes - Review the design styles - Complete a survey that will show learners their own personal design style - Assign take home virtual worksheet for learners to create a mood board based off of their personal design style So what are you waiting for?! Learning Goals
This class will introduce design history, styles, and career paths before heading into a longer, more intensive course. We will cover styles such as Mid Century Modern, Boho, Minimalist, Farmhouse, Global, Victorian, and more, as well as allow learners to choose one of these as their favorite design style and implement it into a mood board for future portfolio purposes.

All you will need is your laptop and either Microsoft Powerpoint or Google Slides, the assignment can be opened in either.
