Week 1Lesson 1Metric conversions and scientific notationThis lesson introduces students to scientific notation and converting between metric units. A video and practice assignment are included.Week 2Lesson 2Calculating density and converting temperaturesThis lesson introduces students to the units for density and how to calculate it and the units for temperature as how to convert between them. A video and practice assignment are included.Week 3Lesson 3Precisions vs. accuracy and percent errorThis lesson introduces the concepts of precision, accuracy, and percent error. In addition, calculating percent error will be discussed. A video and practice assignment are included.Week 4Lesson 4Significant figuresThis lesson introduces students to the concept of significant figures and how to determine the number of significant figures. A video and practice assignment are included.Week 5Lesson 5Converting quantities to different unitsThis lesson introduces students the concept of converting quantities of one unit to quantities of another unit. A video and practice assignment are included.
Learns will have the basics needed to continue in learning high school chemistry.
