Description
Class Experience
Baking not only introduces children to kitchen safety and meal preparation, but it also enhances vocabulary, comprehension, retention, attention, and reasoning skills. Not to mention math is a huge part of baking!
I have been preparing gluten-free dishes for our family of five for over ten years. I am a Certified Natural Nutritionist, and due to Celiacs (gluten allergy) had to learn how to educate myself about sources of gluten. I have always loved to bake, so gluten-free was a challenge, in the beginning, having to learn how to bake all over again should be enjoyable and freeing.
Practice makes progress. Start experimenting with different ingredients and see if you can make this recipe your own.
2 files available upon enrollmentThe brownie recipe is provided on the classroom page, as well as a printable list of ingredients your child will need before class. Students will need two mixing bowls, measuring cups, measuring spoons, a 9x13 cake pan, cooking utensils, and hot pads.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There is no formal grading for this course; the course is interactive and requires collaboration and participation.
