Introduction to Geometry

Teacher Experience:
I have a BS in Mathematics and a Masters in Education.  I have taught Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra( Regular and Honors), Geometry(Regular and Honors) and Pre-Calculus.

Topics:
Week 1:  Review of Algebra
Week 2:  Points, Lines, and Planes
Week 3:  Distance and Midpoint
Week 4:  Angle Basics
Week 5:  Complimentary and Supplementary Angles
Week 6:  Review of Geometry Terms

Structure of class:
Each week we will have one session.  In addition, I will post an assignment and an answer key to check your work.  
During the session I will go over the concept and give examples with time for students to work problems with me to ensure understanding.  This is specifically targeted towards students who have completed Algebra 1  concepts and are going into Geometry and want to get an understanding of some of the concepts that will be taught.  Students will need paper or notebook, pencil or pen, and calculator (optional).

How I teach:
I teach by the I Do, We Do, You Do method.  I will present examples of problems for a specific content and then I would want you to work some of the problems with me, then I would want you to work them on your own to ensure you are understanding the concepts.

This class is designed for students who have complete an Algebra 1 course.
