An 8 week world language course for beginners of French (Level 2) designed to follow on from my level 1 course Who our students are? Student's will usually have completed my Level 1 course or already know some basics. We have a range of students, some are already multilingual, some from French speaking families and others who are just curious about learning French for the first time as their second language. This makes for an exciting mix and dynamic learning! Who our teachers are? We are passionate about the French language and culture. We aim to inspire and motivate our learners so they can enjoy being top of the class! Not just in French but in all areas! We’re really ambitious for our students. Students will learn the following topics: Week 1: Parts of the body Week 2: Describe myself and how I look with French adjectives Week 3: Days of the week Week 4: Describe a person's character Week 5: Numbers 1-20 Week 6: Pets and counting Week 7: Introducing clothing Week 8: The agreement of adjectives How is the class structured? Learners are encouraged to say and repeat the new French words to practice the pronunciation Each student has the opportunity to speak French, share ideas and ask questions As the teacher, I assess understanding and correct pronunciation Lessons include interactive and fun activities and games What is Rebecca’s teaching style? My teaching style is fun and energetic and it’s so important to me that the children learn to the best of their abilities in my class. My aim is for the children to enjoy lessons and to be find a personal reward in their learning. I have a lot of online teaching experience and I am a specialist language teacher with a Post Grad in education. There is an emphasis on French culture in my classes too and that is great for the children to encounter. We also discuss language and compare English and French words, as well as any other languages spoken by the children! There will be homework tasks to reinforce learning between lessons. It’s recommended to do a little revision between classes. We will also be revising previous topics in each class. Students should have some previous knowledge of French and ideally have completed my level 1 course. Previous learning required... Greeting and introducing themselves, saying their age, numbers 1 - 10, asking how are you, basic classroom objects and colors. Sentences with J'ai..... , C'est....
