In this multi-day class, students will learn beginning French phrases in order to have conversations. 1. Each class will begin with a brief review of the previous day’s content. 2. The students will get a preview of what they will be able to do by the end of class. 3. The teacher will directly teach vocabulary and phrases. Students will learn French vocabulary through a variety of approaches including repetition, pictures, songs, and movement. 4. Students will engage in independent practice with a hands-on activity such as writing or drawing. 5. Students will be given a dialogue to practice with their learning partner (stuffed animal). 6. Students will be invited to have the dialogue with the class by turning their mics on. Class 1: Greetings (hello, goodbye, How are you?, My name is) Class 2: Classroom Objects (supplies, commands) Class 3: Colors (rainbow) No prior experience is needed for this course.

Miss Raz holds a bachelor’s degree in French (education) from University of Jamestown. After finishing her degree, Miss Raz moved to central France for a year where she taught English to primary students. Furthermore, Miss Raz has taught French at a community college.
