Class Experience

In this four week long flexible course, students will be introduced to fraction basics. They will learn the parts of a fraction, visual representations, addition and subtraction of fractions with like denominators, simplifying fractions, and finding equivalent fractions.

In a FLEX course, there are no live meetings. Students will engage with the teacher and their classmates through the Outschool classroom page. Each week, students will complete an interactive Nearpod lesson. They will watch...

Each week, students will be provided with worksheet pages, links to games that allow them to practice their skills, and will have various challenges/at home activities to try. The Nearpod lessons also contain word problems, practice questions, and open ended questions about the concepts. The teacher will provide feedback for each completed Nearpod lesson or assignment posted.
