Description
Class Experience
At the end of this hour long class, students will have a basic familiarity with the sport of Fencing that will allow them to decide if future fencing lessons are right for them
The instructor has been teaching fencing and historical swordsmanship professionally for over 7 years, and has collaborated with junior Olympic and other competetive fencers to develop the basic principles of this class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class will require an open workout space (Students will be asked to lunge, take steps forward and backward, and fully extend their arms), proper footwear that provides traction (bare feet is acceptable indoors, no flip flops or smooth soled shoes), and adequate stretching beforehand and access to water if needed.
We will use real life examples of fencing gear and weapons
