Parental Guidance
Parents may need to be around for the glueing process. Parents will also need to make the glue solution (water + glue equal parts mixed together as a liquid solution) for the glueing process before class begins. ***Cancellations and Student No Shows: If your student can't be there, please withdraw your student, or at least contact me prior to class, and I will withdraw them. If you want a make-up class for the one missed, you will need to go back to sign up for another class. I do not make transfers. I apologize for the inconvenience. Communication BEFORE class is key. If you let me know before class starts your student will not be there, they will be withdrawn, and you will not pay for the class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
***Now that brick and mortar schools are back in session and I am teaching full-time, my schedule and class offerings/availability has changed. During the school year I will still be offering weekend classes starting as early as 8AM PST. Thanks for being so understanding. Please check out my flex class offerings if those times do not work for you as they are identical to the live-in person versions***

Hi There! My name is Alisha and I am a credentialed high school Home Economics teacher located in Southern California. The classes I teach are related to fashion design, interior design and graphic design. Before I became a teacher, I worked in the US and Australian fashion industry for 6 years as an Assistant Designer and International Wholesaler. I believe design skills are incredibly important and viable in today's economy. I love seeing students chase their passions and want to help them on their paths to become designers. I became a designer because I am 6'2" and nothing ever fit me so I started making all of my own clothes!

I also teach basketball classes. I played professionally in Australia for 4 years after college and loved it so much! I miss being on a team, but love helping young athletes develop the necessary skills to help them be a great teammate and player.
