This course will be discussion style, giving students plenty of opportunities to share their thoughts and ideas. Students will be diving deep into the ocean to study famous shipwrecks and learn how these become new underwater ecosystems! It is estimated that there are more than 3 million shipwrecks on the ocean floor! We will be looking into how this effects our oceans and how shipwrecks can be preserved! We will be looking at pictures and discussing our thoughts and observations. There is no required experience or knowledge for this course.
Learning Goals
Students will develop and understanding of shipwrecks and how they can be turned into new ecosystems.
