Description
Class Experience
Students will learn how to generate ideas for an essay, how to write an effective thesis, how to come up with topics that support that thesis, how to support their ideas, how to write conclusions and introductions, and how to revise an essay.
Homework will be the following: Week 1- decide on an essay topic and write a thesis statement. (Approximately 30-60 minutes) Week 2 - write a draft of your developmental paragraphs. (Approximately 60-90 minutes) Week 3 - write an introduction and conclusion for your essay. (Approximately 30-60 minutes)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will have the opportunity to submit their homework each week and receive written feedback from the teacher.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
