Beginner - Intermediate Level
Topics Covered: What is an equid? Evolution of Equids Intro to Horses- classifying horses, common breeds, basic facts Intro to Donkey- breeds, distribution, characteristics What is a mule? What about miniature horses and ponies? Wild Equids And more! This class will be structured as an interactive powerpoint lecture with games, video clips, pictures, and class discussion. Students will be provided with a PDF handout ahead of time to complete as we go through the class. No prior equine experience is necessary!

Students will be able to identify two types of equids.
Students will be able to identify 3 breeds of horses.
