Introduction to Creative Writing- The Short Story!
Class experience
During this workshop, we will learn some easy and fun ways to begin writing creatively (no experience required)! There will be two writing prompts to choose from. To begin, we will share our ideas together with a group brainstorm, followed by a period of individual work and teacher feedback in real time. Each writer will have the chance to share some or all of their story at the end of class. Prompt one: What is your favorite movie? Write a story (one to five paragraphs in length) about...
Students will learn some basic methods of creative writing which may include: formatting a short story, how to effectively follow a prompt and how to use voice and cadence.
