Beginner Level
This class is for the students who are looking to getting started with Python coding language. This is a two day class which gives an overview on Python language and how to use replit.com editor to write python code. This two day class will enable students to decide if they want to pursue a full Python course which is also taught by me. To attend this class NO prior Python knowledge is required. This is an interactive class where students can ask topic related questions at any point during the class or after the class as well via Outschool messaging. Class contents are as given in the syllabus and also the tools used for the class are mentioned below: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tools used for class : 1: Repl.it for python coding 2: Powerpoint presentations / google docs for sharing online resources 3: Outschool messaging for assignment/lab submissions
Learning Goals
Students will know what is Python language and how to execute python programs on an online editor without any need to installing it. This course will also motivate and prepare learners to learn Python language in depth.

We will get introduced to what is Python and why it is so popular language. We will see how to use Replit ide for coding python. We will create a simple project understand input and output features. 70 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
Variables and data types
Short project displaying what are variables and data types and how to use them in a Calculator project. 70 mins online live lesson

Hi There! My name is Preeti Hargunani. I have a Master's degree in Computer Engineering and have experience teaching Computer Science at a renowned Engineering school and working as a Software Professional at top multi-national companies.
Teaching has always been my passion!
I started my career as a Professor for Computer Engineering at Mumbai University in India and taught various Computer courses during my tenure there from 2008-2014.
In addition to teaching, I also served as the Head of Department for Information Technology during my last year at the college.
I came to the US in summer of 2014 and decided to gain some industry experience.
I worked as a Software Engineer at Bank of America and most recently worked as a Program Manager at Microsoft.
Volunteering:
Even though, I decided to gain industry experience, my passion for teaching has always been strong. To pursue my passion, I joined Microsoft-TEALS in 2016 as a volunteer Teacher and TA for teaching Computer Science to school students. I have been an active volunteer with TEALS since then. I teach subjects like SNAP, Java and Python. All my classes for TEALS are virtual as my students are at a school that is located in a different town than mine.
In my free time I enjoy Painting and playing a musical instrument called Harmonium!Reviews
