Introduction to Class: Public Speaking

In this one-time class, students will learn about the importance of public speaking, and what makes an effective public speaker. This class is a teaser to my semester-long Intro to Public Speaking class offered.

Class Experience

Students will build their knowledge on what makes a strong speaker, and improve their verbal and nonverbal delivery. Students will gain a baseline understanding for what the semester class offers & will have the opportunity to ask questions if interested in the semester-long class.
As this is a one-time class, there will not be homework assigned.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
This will be discussed in the meeting, but most sources used in class are videos of Public Speakers via TedTalks and YouTube, along with curriculum material designed by myself.


About Me

I have been a teacher for 5 years, and am currently in my 6th year. I have taught high school grades 9-12, and am currently teaching 7th grade at the middle school level.
