Hi, are you looking for an introductory Chemistry class for your 11 to 14 years old? if yes, consider enrolling into this class. In this introduction to Chemistry class, students will learn the following in 7 weeks. Live classes will hold twice a week and the following topics will be taught each week as outlined below; Week 1: What is Chemistry and Chemistry as a science? Week 2: Measurements in Chemistry (Scientific notation, significant figures, SI units, unit conversions, and density Week 3: Matter (physical and Chemical properties and changes, elements, compounds, pure substances, mixtures, and separating techniques) Week 4: Atoms, Molecules and Ions (Atomic theories, elements and symbols, periodic table and trends) Week 5: Lewis Structure, Writing Chemical Formulas and Nomenclature (naming ionic compounds, molecular compounds and acids) Week 6: Writing chemical equations and reactions Week 7: Types of chemical reactions/equation and balancing equations These topics will be broken down for easier understanding and practical examples will be used where applicable. Students will be encouraged to demonstrate understanding when necessary and class will be interactive and fun.
