Class Experience

Hello and Welcome to "Introduction to Cheer"

Taking this class online is a great alternative during the summer due to its flexibility to be remote. Take your iPad or laptop with you and have your child participate at the park, gym, on vacation, or the comfort of your own home.

First, will start each class by stretching and talking as a group. We will spend this time creating a classroom community and let the students get to know one another.

Next, we will begin by introducing/reintroducing motions: T, broken T, right punch, left, punch, high V, low V, clap vs. clasp

Each week we will learn a new jump and cheer.

When learning new motions and jumps, we will discuss their names and critique form and tightness.

Additionally, when learning new cheers we will cover expression and enthusiasm when saying cheers.

***Please note, because this is a physical class, appropriate space for moving and jumping is necessary to ensure safety. Please make sure to wear socks and tennis shoes to avoid injury when jumping. Lastly, have a water bottle handy for frequent drink breaks.***

Please let me know if you have any questions! :)
