Description

Class Experience

This is a one-time class in which students learn about the structure of the cello, where it was first made plus a brief introduction of the history of the instrument

I will explain how the cello makes sound by introducing the different parts of the instrument and how they are related to each other in order for the mechanism of the instrument to work

Students will learn about a few different techniques and articulations of the cello, and will see demonstrations of these techniques by the...

They will learn about the structure of the cello, how it makes sound, and in what classical settings it is being used.

I will provide a powerpoint of the materials that are going to be discussed in the class, and there will be a page to fill out by learners. I will send the powerpoint in advance for the families to have time to save the file and print it if they would like to. But printing is not necessary and as long as they will be able to edit the page or mark it with apple pencil on an ipad in the class that would work fine and the learner will be able to do the activity.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
