In this beginner bass lesson, we will focus on covering the main parts of the bass, how to play the bass, and then we will learn an easy song. Starting from the very beginning, it's important to learn the parts of the bass as well as how to tune the bass which we will practice together. Following this, we will cover how to hold the bass properly as well as play notes. After learning these basics, we will learn a fun song together. In our lesson I like to make sure I'm able to hear everyone individually. As well, I like to do lots of demonstration so the students can get a better understanding of what they should be doing. No required experience is necessary for this class. Only requirement is that you have a bass and an amplifier.
Learning Goals
Students will get a fundamental understanding of bass playing and be able to practice techniques on their own after the lesson.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Students will be using the Fender website to tune their bass. No account is reaquired.
We will also be using Youtube to listen to a song we will be learning in the class.
