Introduction to Arabic - For Teens
Class experience
Are you curious about Arabic but not sure if you want to commit to learning it? This is your opportunity to see if Arabic is for you. In this class we will learn about the Arabic language, including ways in which it's like other languages you know, and what sets it apart.
In this introductory lesson, you will learn the following: - An overview of the geographic regions where Arabic is spoken, as well as other related languages - An overview of Arabic's most prominent grammatical features - A brief introduction of the Arabic script and writing system - A few common expressions used in introductions - And finally, how to write your name.
Students will need a piece of paper and pen or pencil during class.
Below are my general classroom rules and policies. These will also be explained to students when we begin class. -For everyone's safety, and to ensure an engaging experience while learning Arabic, students are expected to have working microphones and video for the entirety of this class. They should be positioned such that we can both hear and see them. -Students are asked not to use virtual backgrounds.
My entire career has focused on teaching languages and encouraging cross-cultural interaction and learning. After obtaining my undergraduate degree in English, I joined an acclaimed cultural center in Morocco, where I was trained to teach Arabic...
