- Degree & Location

-Part and Whole

- Cause & Effect

-Classification

-Characteristics or Qualities

-Objects & Actions

Students will be given an electronic handout with the types of analogies and examples they can either fill in digitally and save for themselves, or print and fill out by hand. They will then get to practice some analogies through PearDeck!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have 17 years of teaching experience and test-preparation. I find that teaching students to understand analogies leads them to creating their own analogies when learning new content across every content area--which can be a POWERFUL learning tool. Additionally, analogies expose students to vocabulary they might not otherwise encounter.
