In this 6 week course students will be able to get a head start to concepts learned in Algebra 1 Course.

Class Experience

Teacher Experience:
I have a BS in Mathematics and a Masters in Education.  I have taught Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra( Regular and Honors), Geometry(Regular and Honors) and Pre-Calculus.
Topics:  Students will be learning specific concepts introduced in Algebra 1 course.  The following is the topics discussed each week.
Week 1: Expressions with signed numbers and exponents
Week 2: Order of operations/Function Notation
Week 3: Solving Equations
Week 4: Solving Inequalities
Week 5 Linear...

The goal for this class is for students to become familiar with concepts learned in Algebra 1.

I will provide an assignment each week to help students solidify the concepts presented.

Students will need paper, pencil and calculator(optional).

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Students will be able to assess their progress by completing the assignment and check the key for accuracy.

50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
