1 hour per week. While this class is a 1-time course, students will be encouraged to continue to practice their skills beyond the classroom as well as finish up their work. Students will be provided with a few additional assignments they can complete to grow their skill and practice with Adobe Illustrator.Class Experience
In this introductory course, students will get an introduction to the program Adobe Illustrator. In this one-hour course, we will introduce setting up an artboard as well as how to create a self-portrait using the Pen, Shape, and different shape tools by the end of the course. This course will be structured to be a learn-and-do approach. Students in the class will follow along with the instructor to do the following tasks: - Create an Artboard from scratch - Import a picture - Use the pen tool to trace non-regular shapes - Use the shape tools to create regular shapes - Change Anchor points - Edit Attributes like Fill, Stroke, and Opacity For this class, students will need: - Adobe Creative Cloud Subscription for Adobe Illustrator - Second monitor (optional) Toward the end of class, students will have the option to share their work with their classmates and the instructor and ask for individual help with a particular issue. This is a class intended for all learners. Students should have basic skills using a computer (using a mouse, typing, etc.) for this class in order to get the most out of the class.
