Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will learn intro to American history and geography. Students will practice writing and memorizing the 50 states and capitals; events and people. students will have the choice to experiment with recipes and dress up. 
I am studying at Liberty University; majoring in History. I volunteer with children at my local library we work on educational activates and read stories weekly. 
Favorite Character Project: should take 15-35 minutes learner's have  to research their favorite U.S character from the discussion topic and state we are studying. 
writing the states and capitals worksheet and labeling the 50 states and capitals. should stake 15-35 minutes.  
dress up is optional and createting recipes will be optional. 
Supplies needed: Markers, Colored pencils recipes and dress-up supplies. Students will have the option to Dress-up as their favorite character and to prepare their favorite 20th century recipes.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
student will be assessed based on completion.  
3 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 4+ hours per week outside of class.
students will learn about history in america; some content may be unpleasant however no violence or weapons will ever be shown. 
for example on civil rights discussing segregation and civil unity. I will not go into depth regarding civil rights History; rather discuss events in PG and the positive outcome on each event . 
we will refer to websites, Videos, and workbooks for the class.
