In this course you will learn how to use Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to organize and study various types of data. We will work with several different types of data sets to see the many capabilities of spreadsheet software, from sorting and organizing data to calculating sums and averages and many other formulas. This is an interactive class in which we build spreadsheets together. You will also have the opportunity to practice your skills between classes as you potential of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. By the end of class you will have created your own spreadsheet with attractive graphs to show your data. Topics will include: Class 1: basics of navigation, enter data, format cells, create headers Class 2: entering data more efficiently, fill down and over, highlight entire column, sort and organize, and basic formulas Class 3: charts and graphs Class 4: charts and graphs continued, conditional formatting
