Overall, this class will give learners an introduction to opera learning what it is, why, it is important, how it influenced modern entertainment, and simply the joy in the art and why we should value it. 1. First we will begin with communication, chatting with each other, understanding each other's opinions and experience with opera 2. Students will understnad what opera is, why it is important and influential, and start to develop an appreciation for the art.
I've had extensive study of music history.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Opera is very sensational and some of them have dark themes, but nothing more than what you see on TV. Please share any concerns you have but I will work on keeping it light.
