Beginner Level
In this course the students will learn to have basic conversations in Chinese. Conversation exchanges are between both student/teacher and student/student as a class. Class time is spent participating in implementation and enrichment activities and games to develop fluency and language retention. Examples are role-playing, matching games, guessing games, etc. Visuals and props are used to help with clarification and students may be invited to bring props to help assist them with their learning. The schedule is as follows: Week 1: Proper pronunciation of tones Asking and answering what your name is Week 2: Numbers 1-10 The verb, "to be" (is/am/are) Week 3: "How many?" Week 4: "How old are you?" Combine and Practice Students will learn to write basic Chinese strokes and numbers 1-10（一二三四五六七八九十).
