Description
Class Experience
The primary goal is for students to learn about the many diverse ways people perform music throughout the world and understand the function of music in various cultures.
I am a certified music teacher specializing in early childhood music, instrumental music, and world music. I started teaching in 1998 and I have a master's degree in Music Education from New York University. During my undergraduate education, I also studied abroad on Semester at Sea. We traveled to Venezuela, Brazil, South Africa, Kenya, India, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan.
There is no written homework for this course.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
