Class experience
Learn the basics of video by learning shot composition, lighting, and sound. I will teach with slides and videos that give good and bad examples. I believe bad examples help you see why we do things the way we do, even better than the good examples. In between each meeting, the learners can take their own video examples. On days two and three we will spend time in class looking at their example videos and I will give constructive feedback in an encouraging way. My hope is that students...

I have worked in video production for over ten years. I have worked as a videographer for companies such as C-SPAN, and The Great Courses (now called Wondrium). I still freelance for Wondrium when I am not teaching for Outschool. I have also worked at a local news station and cable access station in my early days. I taught video classes at the cable station. I have a degree in Communications where I learned the basics that I will be teaching in this class.
