Students will learn the parts of the ukulele, proper way to hold the ukulele, basic strumming technique, learn the string names, and work on a first chord!
Class experience
The instructor will go over the parts of the instrument & the names of the different parts. The teacher will demonstrate the proper way to hold the ukulele and each student will practice getting into the correct playing position multiple times. The instructor will lead students in trying a proper strumming technique. Students will learn the letter names of the strings and will work on finding each one. By the end of the class we will be working on in attempting a first chord on the instrument...
If students wish to follow along, they should have their own ukulele to try the activities out on! Although, this class could also be taken by students wishing to learn about the ukulele before deciding to purchase one for sure.
