Students will learn the importance of goals, how to set a goal for themselves and the steps necessary to achieve that goal. This is a very important skill that students will be able to apply and build on and they head towards future success !
As an educator, I have taught and worked with students in k12 classrooms at both the elementary and middle school levels for over 10 years. For the last 3 years I have been tutoring students online. My teaching style has been described by administration as a coaching style which is engaging and motivating for students. Recently, I have become a student of Stoic philosophy and have been greatly inspired by the teachings which serve as a blueprint for overcoming challenges and achieving success in life and would like to pass these teachings on to students who are preparing for the real world !
Homework Offered
The homework will be to take action steps towards the goal that we set in the first class. We will check-in every class to track the progress of that goal.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learner will be assessed on whether or not they achieved the goal that they set for themselves. If they do not achieve the exact goal they set for themselves they can also assess their success based on the progress they made, the effort they made towards the goal, and use the experience towards their next goal !Grades Offered
We will create an environment where students feel comfortable, safe and supported.
No source materials are required for this course - only a notebook and something to write with so we can journal and keep track of our goals and progress !
