Having served as a K-5 teaching librarian for over a decade I’ve led thousands of students on deep-dives into countless topics ranging from the Titanic to dinosaurs, time travel to cryptography, treasure hunting to photography. We don’t just read books, we find, analyze, evaluate, and create websites, videos, podcasts. We identify places to visit, people to talk to, questions to ask. In other words, we transform interests into passions.
