Description
Class Experience
In this class students will accomplish building mechatronic (mechanical/electronic) gadgets that are geared around giving them a clear introduction to the field of engineering. Students will build things like Traffic Lights, Alarm Systems, Night Lights and Mini Playable Pianos. The class progression will follow the format of the students actively building the "Project of the Day" alongside me while I build the device on screen using a platform called TinkerCAD using the same components in...
Students will learn the intro concepts of mechatronics and programming
Elegoo UNO Kit: https://amzn.to/3Fwmank This kit will be used for the students to be able to physically build their gadgets.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour 5 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class requires to have a plugin installed for Arduino Create in order for the code that we write to work for the projects we build, and an account will be required to be able to utilize the program, so it is recommended that parents complete this step prior to class, but do not need to be present during the duration of the class.
