In this one-time introductory class learners will be introduced to the block-based programming language Scratch as they learn to control various aspects of the mBot robot. Learners will experience interactive lecture, prepared images and slides, and live over-head video demonstrations. Together we will build and execute code blocks controlling the mBot robot around a physical space filled with science trivia. No previous programming knowledge is required for this class. I am excited to share my passion for science and electronics. I hope to ignite your child's curiosity for programming and robotics!

I am an Information Technology professional with more than 25 years' experience working in technology, leadership, and mentoring. I have been involved with coaching sports teams, technology teams and Boy Scouts. I have taught mor than 200 learners on the Outschool platform. I love sharing my passion and knowledge of science and technology with kids of all ages. I have taught many science and space classes and camps for kids over the years. I love to research and take things apart to see how they work. I am excited to have your child join my class!
