I have 4 years of experience teaching the award-winning Illustrative Mathematics curriculum in the public school sector. I am now interested in engaging students in learning math by merging it with my favorite pastime, COOKING! My mission is to help parents develop math as a life skill.
Ingredients • 6 Tablespoons salted butter • 16 oz bag mini marshmallows, divided • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract • 6 cups rice krispies cereal • Pack of all chocolate m & m’s • Pack of peanut butter m & m’s Class Supplies • Laptop
The closing activity is an informal assessment that demonstrates the students' understanding of the lesson. Parents will be emailed the results of this assessment within 48 hrs.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
