Students will learn to what a ratio is, how to find a ratio and equivalent ratios, and find unit rates. This standard we will be learning is a 6th grade Common Core standard (RP.1-3). Information will be presented via Google Slides. We will work in small groups when applicable. We will learn many methods to find equivalent ratios so that students can decide which when is preferable to them. We will apply strategies to many real world scenarios. We will begin each class with a quick math...
Students will learn how to make a ratio, equivalent ratio, and find unit rates.
There will be short homework assignments (2-3 questions) that we will review as a class at the beginning of each class. Homework should take less than 15 minutes.
Students should bring paper/notebook and pencil to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will use homework as a self assessment. There will be a short assessment at the end of the course that will be returned with a percentage grade.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
