In this class students will learn through lecture about the different points of view that a story can be told or written from and how it can affect the story. Lecture topics: * First Person * Third Person * We will also briefly discuss Second Person * Multiple perspectives (different people seeing the same thing happen) Activities: * Reading Passages with multiple choice * Students will write short passages from multiple points (ex: they will write from one point of view and then rewrite the same passage in another point of view) * Jeopardy style game of time permits

I have been teaching Language Arts for over 15 years. One of my favorite units is when we talk about point of view and how perspectives can change depending on the point of view. I love when kids really get into a character and discover that not everything is always how it seems.
