This one-time lesson is an introduction to my Oodles of Doodles ongoing class. We will be making new friends, having fun, and learning how to doodle all sorts of St. Patrick's Day drawings including: Rainbow Pot of gold Leprechaun 4 leaf clovers Art should be fun and relaxing rather than rushed and stressful, so we will also discuss the importance of letting go of perfection and expectations in order to truly enjoy the experience of creating art - even if it is just a simple doodle! Just like any other skill, art requires practice in order to improve. Therefore, while it isn't required, I hope that the learners will continue to doodle outside of our class time.
Students will require paper and a drawing tool. Ideally, this will be white printer paper and a bold, thin-tipped marker. My personal favorite is the micron pen for doodles and art, but that is not necessary. Pencils and colored pencils are also acceptable but depending on your child's lighting the contrast may not be good enough for their doodles to be visible on camera. Sharing is not required, but if they do want to share this may be something to keep in mind.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
